Description

Spend your afternoon visiting some of the capital's most impressive sights on a leisurely half-day Tokyo tour. A visit to Tokyo’s oldest temple in Asakusa, a relaxing river cruise and sweeping views from the observation deck are all in store for you. Stop at Sensoji Temple, which houses a golden statue of Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy, that legend states was fished from the Sumida River in the 7th century. Peruse the colorful craft and food shops on the promenade leading up to the temple, finding local treats to snack on. This is a tour bound to keep you entertained from start to finish.

Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellations made between 8 business days (18:00 local time) to 2 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 2 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 40% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 1 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 hours prior to the activity start time will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 1 hours prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

Check In/Pickup Location Details

  • Tokyo Station is very large with many exits. Please give yourself enough time to arrive to the location. The bus will leave on time and will not wait for late participants.

Restrictions

  • Participants ages 14 and below must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants ages 15 to 19 may travel unaccompanied but must have written consent from a parent or guardian.
  • Children ages 0-5 years can participate for free but will have to sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. They may sit in extra available seats but they will not be prioritized. If you would like to ensure a separate seat for children ages 0-5 years, please book them as children ages 6-11.
  • At Tokyo Tower, only the main deck (150 m) will be visited. An additional admission fee which is payable on site is required to access the top deck (250 m).

Additional Notes

  • As the schedule of the Sumida River Cruise will be altered during cherry blossom season (expected period: mid-March to early April), arrival times may be delayed. The Sumida River Cruise ride may also be switched to cherry blossom viewing at Sumida Park.
  • Cancellation charges will still be levied even if participants miss the tour departure time and cancel their booking as a result of late arrival to Japan due to flight delays from inclement weather or other reasons.

Tokyo Tower
Soar up to the main observation deck and enjoy the view of Tokyo from around 150 meters above. On a sunny day, you can get a birds-eye view of the sprawling metropolis. There is an additional fee to be paid on site for visits to the top deck.

Sumida River Cruise
Enjoy a 40-minute boat ride on the Sumidagawa Line from Asakusa to Hinode Pier on Tokyo Bay, and check out the city skyline and bridges. See some of the capital's interesting buildings and sights, such as the beer-shaped Asahi Headquarters.

Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street
Sensoji is the oldest temple in Tokyo and is fronted by the famous red Kaminarimon Gate. The promenade leading to the temple, called Nakamise-dori, is lined with many small food and trinket shops. Walk along the bustling path, sample some delicious Japanese food, and buy some mementos and souvenirs.
